Spez247 Posted December 10, 2015 Share This is my tool of choice. 16 tools / 167grams. Goes everywhere with the bike. Too scared not to. With my luck, the first time i leave it at home, the Cotic will need 14 of the 16 tools to get going again...

I've had an Alien XS that has lasted many years (12+) and have recently bought one of these (Topeak Mini 20): http://www.cybervelo.com/12271-thickbox/topeak-multi-tools-mini-20-pro-gold.jpgBrands I've had less luck with are Lezyne (gone rusty) and Park Tool (inconsistent quality - some are great, some are crap). Martin PJ Posted December 11, 2015 Share I showed just the 'tools', on the spares side I carry a quicklink and a spare valve core. I also always carry a small pump, if it's an important 'event' I'll tape a spare tjoop under my seat. I have not used a tube in a few years (on MTB that is, on road ja now that's a whole other story sadly )..... anyone else? Then we are identical. Have not used a tube in years, but sometimes carry one. The little pliers is a lifesaver. You have to draw a line somewhere, otherwise you would need trailer to tow a spare bike. AlanD Posted December 11, 2015 Share There is also this one that seems to have all the tools you could possibly need but looks a bit bulky if you carry ot in your pocket: http://www.sportsworld.co.za/product.php?id_product=972 Perhaps someone could talk to sportsworld to give us some discount if people are keen to buy one of the multitools they have. I would be keen to buy one as I do not have one.
Eugene Brown Posted December 12, 2015 Share I carry the ParkTool MTB-7 "Rescue Tool" http://www.parktool.com/product/rescue-tool-mtb-7, 2 bombs and an inflator, a 650b tube (SWAMBO's on a 26" so a compromise), a pump strapped to the frame and a quick-link. Haven't used anything yet, but have given bombs away at Modder night rides.
