Hi Techie Hubbers,

I'm struggling to configure multiple bikes on my Edge 520. Any of you out there that can help?

Where does it go wrong.

Have two bikes configured on my 510 (assume 520 is the same).

Just go to settings, bike profiles, hit plus and enter the details of the additional rig.

It has multiple sensor profiles, works much better!

So does that mean I need to purchase a second set of speed/cadence sensors and that will sync with the 2nd set as well as recognize that it is a second bike?

From CD Rainmaker:

Correct, no bike profiles. Instead you have what’s called a ‘sensor pool’ where you specify all the different sensors you have on all the bikes you have. Then, as you start to ride it just automatically picks up the right sensors and you’re good to go.

If you want different settings (like views/options/etc…), you can setup what are known as activity profiles. You could potentially overlay those on top of the bikes you have, or perhaps different activities (i.e. training, racing, mountain biking, etc…).

Pls let me know if you get a pm from any online supplier or bike shops.

I went with the Wahoo cadence sensor, from Ship and Shop at R859 put it on my shoe and now I don't have to worry about which bike I ride as I always wear a shoe. And I only need to buy one. Garmin do make one too but I don't see it on their local website and it's US$69 in US which will be about 10k local Rondts soon.  Speed is worked out by GPS rather than having a sensor on the bike and a magnet on the wheel.
