Also how did they do the seeding? I know I am dat and slow so starting on F was expected, but damn me passing A and B guys after about 15 km how does that work?

Simple

 

A and B batch riders chill and do it with their friends and better halves. Much easier to start in E or F with them than to explain to the event tannies at registration that you want to be seeded lower.

What beta value do they generally give this race in terms of seeding?

Sorry I see this is not used in my seeding criteria - Beta is 1.06

Waar was die pad sleg? It was probably the most manicured it has ever been. You don't even need an MTB any more for this ride. No wonder it is a road seeding event.

Agree, I find it to be the only place close to CT where you can simulate (more or less) the type of terrain you get at races like K2C and H&B
