I reckon if that road was straight Cav would have taken it. And on the day Greipel was just best of the rest.

Yes, wrong line.

Tough to weave pass the cordon and billboards on the German giant's left in the rain.

Its amazing to see how aero Cav is. Despite Marcel being massive you could hardly see him tucked in behind. He definitely has one of the smallest frontal areas of all the sprinters.

Ja I always thought how amazing aero Cav is when in full sprint - very small front area when compared against everyone else.

Then along comes Caleb Ewan and makes Cav look quite big.

Ewan is very small - just 5 ft 5 inches tall and 60 kg, i.e. quite a bit smaller than Cav (5 ft 9).

But besides that, he sprints with his chin in line with his handle bars (see below). Tiny surface area. Not even Cav gets that low.

The other young new hotshot is Gaviria. He's very upright in comparison. Below is an image with them sprinting side by side. Gaviria doesn't have a very tight/aero sprint position. More raw power than technique. Imagine how quick he'd be with a few small tweaks to his position on the bike - he'd be unbeatable.
