Off to the start - Amateur and Zoo Cookie Zaskar getting ready for a long day seconding... Big Ben, Zoo Cookie, Amatuer, Lulu and Daemon in the start pen Got my camelbak on full of spares and goodies for a long day out 3PACKBOY and Big Ben and the Fun Fairies about to leave And they are off... Last to leave the Bicycling fun group 15km out and the field is already spread over the road Wonder Woman with a big smile Delgado and R2D2 3PACK and Big Ben Fun rider bunch break time for the Fun Fairies A bit later down the road, wonder woman again Mallo Riding with the girls Finally at the end... Proving all the preditions right, the LAST team to arrive!! 6h57mins after the start they rolled over the line . Note the emergency vehicle escourt and the traffic hold up!! Zoo getting some camera action! Look out for her on Super Cycling Thats all for today!
Zaskar Posted April 26, 2008 Author Posted April 26, 2008 Coming down from Sabie towards White River, there was a long stretch of downhill on newly tarred road. The road was full of loose stones, and coming down at about 60km/h a passing bakkie threw up a stone and it hit me in the face! It felt like i was hit with a brick, but thank goodness it hit the lens and frame of my Oakley Racing Jackets!! The lens broke clean out of the frame, and the frame has a little chip in it....
