Nice seeing you there Scotty , you could have waited for us slow coaches to finish hey

Looked around for you afterwards .... even by the pizza spot

LoL, nice time you did,  so much for you saying you were going to take it easy  :w00t:

Really tough race. Not the flat ride everyone hinted at. Really hot. I think start should be earlier. I heard they ran out of water at some water points.

But enjoyed a nice hard ride.

Was a nice ride. Really enjoyed that new section "Prison Break" , of single track through the forest. Just managed to squeeze through the gap between the 2 trees at the beginning.

My only gripe was the kids (and some adults, guy in black and white skeleton top ;) ). At the first rocky descent there was a bit of a bottleneck, no issues as we were not exactly in the winning bunch so we were all waited patiently. They rode past and pushed pushed their way in. Then on the rocky ascent shortly after (ride-able even for someone like me that sucks) most of them got off and pushed, this was LoL, what was not LoL is that they pushed their bikes up using the ride-able path (again guy in skeleton top).

Man, every time I ride this race, I forget how tough it is...the extra few km's hurt!

I'm not exactly at my best at the moment, so the climbs were leg breakers...

Everyone seems to remember it being a flat and fast race  I suffered for that 3:34!

Yip, I'll be back for more next year. Really a great race. Only missed one turning sign just before a bridge, otherwise relatively well marked.

Was my first time doing this and the route was much tougher than I was expecting, was a tough day in the saddle. A mate had bad luck with about 6 punctures which meant quite a bit of stopping and chasing then stopping and chasing again.

But overall a good event, well organized, the water tables seemed to be well stocked with a decent variety of drinks and snacks, route was well marked, free bike wash and food and drinks available afterwards so all good.
