Big things happening at Huddle Park. Dirt Labs have taken over and are doing some amazing work. Rode there today and it is looking great, I am sure it is going to be even better when completed. Signage being finalised which will help. Spoke with David and Dirk, guys doing design and they have big plans. Total routes combined reported to be 22KM.  Going to be a great facility in the middle of Joburg although when you ride there it feels as if you are in the bush somewhere. Reminds me of Logwood.

It certainly needs fine tuning. We rode there this morning and took a number of wrong turns due to lack of signage. Like the initial launch, I'm going to wait a few months to see if the doubling in entry fee is worth it.

Rode huddle yesterday.
Quite different to how it used to be, but definitely has a lot more fun to it :)

Will take a bit of getting used to which fork to take, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Also heard they will introduce a yearly fee, just waiting for their systems to be completed on the website which will make it much cheaper in the long run.

And they put a few more wooden bridges over some mud spots.

How much are they charging now and what distance of trails completed?

Distance is about 10km if you do all the options.

Price is R40 but they said there will be a yearly subscription of about R690 for a year, which makes it quite enticing.

How is that jump onto the concretet table top and off again at speed? Fortunately the Linksfield is close...

It's pretty easy. No real need to jump. The shape of the lip is quire natural so it almost feels like one is riding up onto the slab, then just riding off again.

As for speed, no need to come in there blindingly fast. A nice moderate pace will do

My friends went this weekend, they enjoyed the new jumps but mentioned signage was not very helpful, seems you end up going back to a start point each time and head off again onto another trail, they got just under 20km out of it but from the loops of her ride map it looked like quite a bit of double backing.

Looks tempting, but I am not out of self payment, just yet...

Rode new tracks yesterday since upgrade, now R50/p/p, really nice changes, lots of options with trails doubling back to a central point. Good that trails have been cut a bit wider on each side too, never seen the trails so busy, loads of people but not crowded. Seems there are also a lot of other trail options been planned with some of them closed off for now...Keep up the good work!

Spoke to the guys doing the upgrades. There will be an optional R850 for the year to ride the trails as well as some training courses and trail running. They just waiting for their website systems to be completed to purchase this from their website.

Hey CAAD stumbled on this old thread, just bought an enduro MTB and looking for technical MTB rides. I live close to Linksfield and wondered if the koppies are safe to ride? Can you share any insights please?
