Clickin sound coming from freehub

Just realised it could be my QR skewer.

Will replace it with another one and see.

Hoping it's the skewer, as the freehub seems to be in great condition

is it 11 or 10 speed? apparently some of the 11 speed freebodies can get a bit of play between the cassette and the freehub.

Recently discovered that my noise was the end cap on the d I've side rubbing against the rear derailleur hanger. Little bit of grease. Problem solved.

I had this issue with my Easton hub,

after 1 wet ride I had a crunching noise in my freehub, stripped, cleaned and regreased and put it back, only to find it clicked. turned out to be 2 of the 3 pawls in the freehub were shot and had to be replaced.

Check that they release smoothly when pushed in and use a light durable grease to keep them quiet.

If that doesnt work.....put new bearings in

Definitely not the QR skewer as the bike is now even more noisy.

Will try a new chain, as mine is old and needs replacing anyway.

If that does not help I will strip the hub again and lube everything up

It's definitely coming from the wheel.

Changed the chain, put a different derailleur on and changed the skewer.

Will just take it to my LBS and have them ride it

C'mon guys, surely someone has had this issue before...

I've cracked a Tune freebody before

They are Superlight but under engineered..

If prince, core move axle, if you have the Carbon axle... Check for cracks

If cracked...

A new one is mucho ZAR...

Good luck!

I have got the aluminium axle. And it's in perfect condition, so it's not that

Take it to David, he is a superb wheel builder. He has probably seen this before and knows what and how to look for it.

You don't want to stuff those hubs up!

Thing is, I just want to confirm that it is the hub, before taking it in

Just try this

Grease the QR where it comes in contact with the frame...

It saved my bike from being sold
