maidenmole Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Recently discovered that my noise was the end cap on the d I've side rubbing against the rear derailleur hanger. Little bit of grease. Problem solved.
PregoRoll Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 I had this issue with my Easton hub, after 1 wet ride I had a crunching noise in my freehub, stripped, cleaned and regreased and put it back, only to find it clicked. turned out to be 2 of the 3 pawls in the freehub were shot and had to be replaced. Check that they release smoothly when pushed in and use a light durable grease to keep them quiet. If that doesnt work.....put new bearings in
Rick Sanchez Posted February 18, 2016 Author Posted February 18, 2016 Definitely not the QR skewer as the bike is now even more noisy. Will try a new chain, as mine is old and needs replacing anyway. If that does not help I will strip the hub again and lube everything up

Check for cracksIf cracked...A new one is mucho ZAR...Good luck!
