Garmin Edge 500 battery replacement

Hi All,

 

Does anyone know whether I can buy a replacement battery pack in Cape Town or anywhere in SA? I've found a few on Ebay but I was hoping to find one in locally. I've tried Garmin in Cape Town and they don't replace the battery, they only swop out for a new one.

AFAIK you don't get the battery separately and have to replace the whole unit.

Well at least you get a new unit and year warranty if you do a swap out.

 

Is it a straight swap or you also have to make a payment?
