MTB Full suspension Advice

I am grappling with the thought and idea of moving from my rigid frame Merida to a full suspension bike.

It goes without saying I battle to get my mind around the hefty prices. Is it really a big difference? I kind of think so.. but what I was hoping, is there not someone who has gone to the trouble of comparing bikes "apples for apples". The components to me are the big difference. I do think all brands are in there own justified way good. But what is the best value for money out there now on a 29er Full suspension bike without braking the bank?

Go demo a fullsuss on a rough road and you'll be convinced you definitely need one. Agreed on the Anthem, really good value, but also check pricing. Most companies pushed up their pricing for 2016, so you can get a Spez Camber Comp for the same money as an Anthem. Places like CycleLab also habmve dpecials on 2015 Cannondale Rush and Trek Superfly FS bikes. Otherwise take your chances on a used bike.

I changed from a hardtail to Camber recently and find that my entire body prefers it, even moreso on longer rides.

Depends how big your bank is, value for money my choice would be Silverback.

I have the same Merida ht, year etc. Bought the 2015 ninety nine 9.600 fs at a good price. Although not even close to the best one get, but definately the best move since I have had 2 lower back back ops and last year did the Trans Baviaans on the fs and I felt very good after almost 17 hours on the bike.
