So the thread started as CL that bought CWC, but then mid way it changed to OM that bought CWC...

I don't think there was an official update, but it has all happened. It was effective 1 August and as far as I understand, father and son stay on and run it for 3 years.

 

When I asked a shop assistant over the weekend he said the deal is off tho

OM own the majority share of MoreCorp (holding company of CL) as far as I know so it's all the same thing. I'm sure the purchase would logically go through MoreCorp but I could be wrong.
