Different strokes. Suppose you like midget porn as well? No? Hmmm...

Anyway. Amped to see what the trails are like after the rains. Pity I won't be able to get there in the next couple weeks. Also AMPED to see what the new fire hut trail is like when it's done!

I found Neverending in much better shape towards the end of summer with less brake bumps and better overall flow compared to Phoenix. Phoenix, when in good condition is a gem, but over-use and lack of skill by some riders made Neverendingstory my go-to ride when I wanted to forget about the brakes.

there you have, lack of skill, not much braking needed at red phoenix, and it will be super flowy...

neverending is a must do no doubt, but red phoenix wins, all the time!

Did the Red P a few months ago with my wife and the top bits scared her. Last time we rode there she decided to do NES but came away saying it was too boring and pedally.

I think RP still has to come into its own - didnt work too well for me last time. . I think the top 3 Canaries are more fun especially number 1 and the rock wall section.

It was in PRIME condition after the rain about 3 weeks back. Can only imagine how it was this last weekend. The rain seemed to have swept the trail of the major braking bumps, but left juuust enough to make it fun.

Neverending is a lot fun on a 100mm suspension racing bike like mine, and the bottom last rocky st is also great fun. When I go down Red P I always feel like: "I wish I had just a bit more travel". Jonkers is probably best enjoyed on a trail bike, but I still enjoy it more than anything else on a 100mm travel racer. I think I will have to go see tomorrow how the trails are doing after the rains.

I don't know if it is just me, but when a trail gets to a certain point of deterioration, I try to avoid it as to not perpetuate the damage. I'm more of a "leave no trace" than a "rip it up and flip it all upside down" kind of guy. I am very comfortable from a skills point of view to ride trails that is in need of TLC, but it just  feels wrong to do so for me, so I end up being extra careful not to cause further damage.
