How do i set up a fenix 3 for indoor cycling? Will it sync with the watt bike ?

Will it pick up distance on the fenix 3

afaik there is an ANT code on the wattbike that you use to pair your watch.

My gym doesnt have them though so cant say for sure. I know the other spinning bikes all use spd.

Picks up distance power speed and cadence. You have to pair two sensors, one for power and the other for speed/distance. You can also pair your hr strap with the watt bike.

On the pedal side, at sunninghill all of them take the shimano mtb cleat on one side of the pedals (spd) and then there is one that takes some other cleat on the other side. Probably shimano's road cleat.

Hope that helps.

Yup, pairs for both speed and power. Check the bottom middle of the screen on the Watt bike for the code (5 digit I think).

Shimano road and mtb cleat both compatible.

Automatic search sensors. connect speed, cadence and power.  Alternatively search power sensor, the speed/cadence sensors individually.

At the bottom center of the wattbike LCD screen there will be a number, 5 or 6 digits, that is the reference to the wattbike you are on, make sure your fenix 3 adds and connects the correct sensors.(will be referenced with the wattbike LCD number)

You may pick up sensors from other wattbikes nearby, if the fenix connects to those sensors, manually disconnect and reconnect to the sensor of the bike you are on. (under settings/sensors on the fenix)

Over time your fenix will save all the sensors as you use different wattbikes at the gym.. it then becomes easy to manually connect to them (settings/sensors).  I generally do this whilst doing a light warm up (under just ride options) then the sensors are functioning. Once all connected I stop the just ride session and start my workout.

Fenix will record, distance, speed, cadence, HR, Power.

Will upload to GC and you will get points from Discovery

Going to try this tomorrow, never knew this is possible!!!

I see there is a app for wattbike as well with workouts and detailed info if you sync your phone via bluetooth to the wattbike, test this tomorrow as well

I assume you can use fenix 3 or edge 520 on wattbike?

Top tip - plug a flash drive in at the back of the display, and it will record everything for you to take home and analyze. Includes pedal efficiency and all the regular stuff your watch will record.

Pro Tip - remember to take flash drive out when done.
