Seeing as OP isnt from the coast and cant run up and down sand dunes, mine dumps are probably the next best thing.

I can them puke sessions, they hurt like nothing else but make you strong.

Agree brick sessions are the best we run 8ks cycle 55min and then run 5ks and if time I co for a 5-8k paddle and wife goes for 1k swim 2 x a week.

Kettlebells !!!

Learn the techniques from someone knowledgeable and then get some for home use. Core, Legs and Posterior chain will thank you
