Results are updated on SAS website.

Marathon shows just under 500 finishers.

This event was beyond what I expected and the "Sting in the Tail" stung quite badly.

Fat people (me) don't climb well. Need to get rid of that 15kg baby fat (beer).

results have been updated, but Max's winning time remains. its going to mess up everyones seeding index if it stays sub 2 :w00t:

Agreed, surely he did not win by such a big margin?

Was a great event. My first Nissan Trail Seeker and very impressed. Well organised and lots of water points.

Thoroughly enjoyed the 70Km, had a nice bite towards the end and the descents were awesome.

My time is correct on the SAS website.

Max Knox's time is up on Strava now. 2:26:14.

Yes and I see SA Seeding corrected the times now as well

Still waiting for my result to be added though.

You're not alone, still waiting for mine as well.

Was a good race. Somehow I completely forgot about the severity of the vodacom tower climb from last year and it was tough hitting it that deep into the race. The view from the top made it worth it though.

Loved the reverse route!

Hope the Oom on his Santa Cruz is OK. His arm was ripped up really bad. I could not decide if it was a Lion or one of those nasty thorn bushes!

I could not see anything through the acid sweat running into my eyes as I got to the top.

But I agree. It's one of the best in the series. Proper mountain biking!

Yeah coming down from Vodacom not able to see much through the glasses made things interesting!

It was much more do-able in reverse climbing the vodacom tower, going down was fun, even though My wrists was hurting, hahahaha. And the big descent on about 50km (before the towers),looked like a bulldozer ran through it, loads of fun, but very easy to go OTB once you lose concentration.

That decent on 50km mark was my favourite one.
