Tour D'urban - please enlighten!!

Recommended Posts

Get him to check how he entered.  Now days with a Cyclosport license you can enter the Elite category if there are no number limitations on that category.

yeah, he's from Kokstad.

His Argus wasn't the best either... lost a bottle in the first half and didn't stop to re-fill his other one. Still came 2nd in the group though.

He's a stubborn little kid, I'll give you that!

Yeah well, whatever you do, don't let him ride Open Seeded, he will become complacent, much like a 'fun rider', and become obsessed with dropping back a bunch and slipstreaming to a good time, and constantly riding on the hard shoulder just to avoid the white line....

Still has some way to go to achieve what this guy has accomplished. Starting in DL group and finishing amongst the elite times he must have been flying Clap

He probably had a beans bunny with extra hot mother inlaws masala the night before... Nothing was going to stop him on his way to the portaloo at the finish!

Think WT failed to notice that he started with VS...... then calculated a time based on his DL start time.   I did see a rider heading off with this group with a "D" number - no doubt he got shelled rather quickly!!!

Surely when you start with the longer distances, then cut it short the correct thing is NOT to go over the mat at the end with your chip still attached.

VS is the Superseries Group - this guy just started earlier than he should have.  WT should have picked this up by using the mats at the start but clearly didn't.....
