Morning

I destroyed my SPANK vomax 23al rim last weekend.

Need to find a decent 28hole rim x2 and I do not want to ride mismatched rims. Please note I am heavy and ride hard thats why I had spanks.

Local shop had a set of DT XR RS but only found out they are 32hole at the last moment.

Alas Still looking for rims

28h rims will never be as robust as 32h rims. Maybe you should consider getting a complete 32h build.

I never evne looked when i bought the wheelset new with hope hubs. only noticed this after destroying the rear rim.

Looking at syncross xr 1.5 now. Stans has no stock untill mid june in any 28 hole

Damn that sucks. And obviously you want to reuse the hope hubs.

Have you looked at Mavic as an option? I have a Mavic 819 (of so iets) wheelset that is 28hole and I abused it for many years.

28H + heavy oke = further *** down the line. See if you can find someone who wants to swap your 28H Hopes for 32H, particularly since you're rebuilding both wheels.

Otherwise get at least the rear wheel built up 4 cross. You'll need new spokes, but the wheel will be way more resilient.
