Fortunately, technology advances to help us and make life difficult for criminals. For the next generation mobiles you can download applications for tracking in case of theft or loss, for instance on iPhone you can useFind my iPhone, and if you have Android: Prey. michaelbiker Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Looks interesting. Only issue I see, is if your bike gets stolen it relies on other people near it to have the tracking app installed on their phones, since the device doesn't contain GPS or any cellular connection.
Ed-Zulu Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 A good effort to curb a big problem, but hardly worth the cost. The possible hiding places also limits it's efficacy and as soon as it hits the market here the scum will figure it out. We should be working on a solution that is either implanted (down a seat tube or stem post) and or very difficult to remove to "stem" the tide and have a successful recovery rate.
Paul Ruinaard Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 I believe its only got a 30 meter range.Good for finding keys not bicycles..... THe issue with all GPS trackers is powering them for long enough without a recharger...
hayleyearth Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 I believe its only got a 30 meter range. Can't believe they advertise this as a bike tracker just due to this fact alone.
