Great Riding weekend away?

Hi there all.

 

I'm looking for any tips on great places to stay for a weekend. Naturally close to good trails about 1-2 hours outside of Johannesburg.

 

Id like to take the family with, so places with hiking trails, fishing, horse riding etc for non-riders too.

Ideally, a self-catering house that sleeps 6-8 people that you have been to or experience with.

Has everything you need and are some of the best trails I have ridden. 220kms so usually takes us just over 2 hours to get there.

Go to a place near Van gaalens. Stay at hollybrooke horse farm. This place is literally right in the van gaalens trails

Push on just a little bit further from Waterval Boven on the N4 to Mankele

I know you said 2 hours ... and I was gonna say mountain sanctuary or somewhere .. but if you haven't been to Tranquilitas, that's your place.
