LOL Sheehan doesn't look very impressed that he isn't getting any kisses.

It was a very strong sprint.

His timing was impeccable. He came from so far back. Can he keep yellow till the end? I flipping hope so.

Too much climbing for him to stay in touch

He sure loves racing in Obamaland

Ja, there are some serious climbs this year to pretty much rule out anyone who's not a world class climber.

Stage 3's summit finish on top of the Gibraltar Road climb is the one that's going to do them all in (except the mountain goats).

It's a 12km climb averaging 8%, which is a monster in anyone's books.

I would have to watch more of the stage to see exactly how Katusha and DD messed it up for Kristoff and Cavendish.. up until now I have only watched the sprint. (looked like Cav was boxed in a bit)

Interested to see how Degenkolb is doing after that horrific training accident.  I also see Van Avermaet.  Still weird seeing Wiggins on the road.

I like the TOC. . Have set the PVR for stage 1.

Last year was incredible.

Agreed, great race...the second they crossed the line my PVR cut off, just saw the end. Gonna be a tough one this year!!

You all know that it's the racing I admire [emoji6]

Okay okay.. I must confess he has grown up into a very nice looking young man...

Sagz took a break and it shows

He is as fresh as a bat out of hell

That was some insane speed endurance shown there by the World Champ

Meanwhile, here's an important quotation from John Degenkolb

“It was a horrible crash and of course that affects your performance on the bike, but also how you get back on the bike,” he says. “I was pretty scared before I did my first ride in traffic outside again. It turned out to be quite normal, luckily. I think it was the right moment — I didn’t go out too early. Your body and your mind need to finish the process and in the end I’m happy to be a cyclist again. Of course, I’m happy to be alive, but also just happy to again be living the dream to be a cyclist. That’s very important for me.”
