Hope you recover quickly! how did you manage to bugger yourself up so badly?

Thanks. that's just the thing. I have no memory of the crash. It happened at the first fence bridge where st begins according to my strava. I lay there for an hour out cold before help arrived. I know zilch.

Flip! Strongs to you! In the meantime just make the most of your forced rest.

Okay, let me present you with a scenario. I almost overdid it at that point but my long travel bike saved me and I rode it out with a nose wheelie:-)

You hit the bridge ramp a tad too fast - perhaps the wind was behind you and you misjudged your speed coming off the hill before it. Instead of rolling the bridge you gained some air under your wheels and because your weren't expecting to turn it into a jump your weight distribution was all wrong. The bike nosed over in the air and you landed front wheel heavy with your weight transferring forward over the bars. You may even have a bruised chest/stomach from the stem/bars.

Basically a high speed OTB onto your head. No idea how you broke your arms though.

Hope you heal up really quickly...

Could be. I have no bruises on my chest or stomach though. My left wrist is shattered and my left arm is black and yellow from my elbow to my tricep. Right arm is cracked and concussion with lesions over my face. My brand new pair of glasses bought that morning at CWC are totaled as well.

Now my wife is saying my riding days are over (ja right, whatever!) and I'm bummed at missing out all the new stuff unleashed by Patrick Roberts...
