5k may still not cut it, especially the way that bike in the pic is spec'd.

I've only seen one here before and have no idea where it is.

As for the bike it's biggest con is that it's a freeride bike, so heavy and not as fast as DH rig. (We also don't really have bike park style freeride that that bike's made for here)

If you're wanting a DH bike maybe look at an Izimu there are some really cheap ones floating around.

Just my 2c.

Looking to get a 2007 demo 7,not sure where to find one, would 5 grand be a fair price? and Cons and Pros of this bike

Just get a Mongoose Boot'r or Pinn'r, dude. You've been looking for a bike around that price point for how long now?

Alternatively just carry on looking. Singling out a bike like the demo 7 will end with you having quite  afew grey hairs. There aren't many around at all...

Nothing wrong with a Boot'r. Particularly if you're fighting a budget.

Was thinking of this, ridden one and it was great

dude its about what is available, not what exists.

at the moment just buy something, literally anything, ride it, learn to maintain it yourself so you dont waste money at a bike shop because you cant change a gear cable or service a fork, and then once you have some proper funds together you can go buy yourself your dream bikes.
