Rushdee Posted July 11, 2016 Author Posted July 11, 2016 Those lowers look like they've seen better days. In what condition is the rest of the fork?great. Might paint her. Will see.
Hairy Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 "A consistently controlled, hard ride-ready and solidly reliable fork at a great price. It's versatile too" http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/gear/category/components/forks-suspension/product/review-x-fusion-velvet-rl-2-14-48089/ 20160625_154407_1468226158650_resized.jpgis that the velvet that goes 26'er and 650b? Reason I ask is that I have a white one like that running in 26'er guise and 140mm travel. As I understand it, you have to add spacers to run the 650b wheels and this reduces travel to 130mm. Just make sure. I image that if they are reducing travel, it would be to reduce the risk of the top of the tyre striking the arch or frame at full compression ..... this could result in a fall similar to your snapped rigid carbon fork experience.

popcorn_skollie Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Will you tell me which frame it is on the phone? I promise not to ruin the thread...
Rushdee Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 Not an ss then.Sadly not. With my legs, if it was an ss, the bike would just not fulfill it's intended purpose as an "All-Mountain" machine..
Rushdee Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 To to clean up and varnish those floors Just be glad my priorities are in order:1) bikes2) bike apparel3) bike maintenance4) food on the table5) home maintenance. maybe..
