partydave Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Hi guys, I need some buyers advise. I currently have a 2013 Frankenscott Scale 940. XT 1x10 drive train, some upgraded bits and a really shocking Suntour fork. I had an offer of 10k for it over the weekend and I'm considering to sell it to upgrade to a dual suss.I can add about 5k, but would like to know if it's possible (easily, as I don't want to sit without a bike for too long) to source a similar spec dual suss bike for 15k or under? 2 team mates just bought 29er dual suss bikes (a Santa Cruz and a Giant) for the same price, but I'm unsure if they were lucky or if these deals are widely available. If I look at the prices on The Hub, seems I'm in for a rough run to try score a deal like that.

dirtypot Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 It is possible, but those deals don't hang around for long, so you've got to move when they do show up.I've bought a Spark 920 for R14,500 in the past, so I know that it can be done!
madbradd Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 You'll fairly often see a 2012/2013 Sparks and Anthems pop up in that price range, but they don't stay on for long. You could even just put in an offer on the ones which are available and see - worth a shot.
