That is showroom shine right there! A double up front would really round off the bike.

Thanks guys! As my first build it was such a cool experience and when it came together it felt soooo good! What do you mean double up front?

Double chainring, i.e. 2X9 gearing. Or even a 1x set-up. They generally tend to give the bike a "cleaner" look.

Used to have an avalanche 1.0 frame. As far as I know all the frames were the same except paint, and the 3.0, 2.0, 1.0 and Pro were the build options.

In terms of "is the frame strong enough".... Yes. They're built like the proverbial brick house. There was absolutely no mention of weight saving on those guys!

Thanks for the info bradd, I've been told that the Pro was a somewhat later model than the 1.0 I have.

On the bulletproof front, the frame appears to be just that. Have been riding my GT for about 2years and have hammered it six ways from Sunday.

It has served me in the half Argus, it did SS duty for a very long time, I've done some distance riding and some rough trail riding on it.

I think I might have f@cked up my geometry with the latest reincarnation as a trail bike though, the 160mm fork has lifted up the front a bit much.
