Wall mounting a bike

Hello Everyone. I hope someone on here will be able to assist. I recently moved into a smaller apartment and have no space to store my bikes. They currently stand in the passage and can get in the way. I would like to mount them (frame parallel to wall) onto a wall in one of the rooms to save space. Does anyone have any advice on the best way to do this, where to buy specific products etc? Note that one of the bikes has the cables running outside of the top tube so a simple bracket probably won't work.

I used a wooden wall rack(floating bracket) from game, made a cut halfway in the rack about the width of the seatpost. The loosen the h/bars(if its a mtb),twist them sideways and voila, wall mounted bike. Will post some pics.

There's a quick and dirty way of doing it by going to Builders Warehouse and getting some wall brackets generally used for suspending timber planks on walls, like this:

I just used a Expansion Bolt and Hook fitted to the wall to hold onto the pedal.

There's also a much nicer way of doing it, found here on Facebook

A basic plank shelf , than two eye rawl bolts and you use an elastic bungee cord type strap to hold them in place.

Good to rotate bikes and you are not limited ,   shelf on own does not look out of place
