Some advice if you have any

Hi there Bikehubbers

I recently cracked the frame in my dual sus mtb and had it repaired but as the crack was at an awkward position on the chainstay, the repair has me worried and I just can't ride without looking down to see if it has broken on me. I have now gotten to a point that I don't go ride anymore because I am scared of a catastrophic failure and an impending hospital visit.

I am a bit (understatement) broke and am looking at the cheapest possible solution which I figured would be to buy a cheap hardtail frame and shift all my current components into it. I was hoping to find this solution in the classifieds but have had no luck as cheap ass 26" hardtail frames seem to be hard to come by.

Can anybody in Bikehubland offer any advice? I would need something that supports 26" with qr axle, straight 1 1/8" steerer, post mount brake, 30.9 seatpost and Hollowtech 2 crank. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Closest I have come is the on one UK website which has a compatible frame at $170, problem is shipping on that frame is a further $173 which kind of blows that idea off the water

Because of the location of the crack the only option was to put a rivet through it as the carbon forms a sleeve around the alu linkage

I have a hardtail frame for you if you need a medium...

Straight steerer with qr rear. It's an old felt q620

Thanks Myles, that is super awesome of you. I am 186cm and normally ride a large. Is it a big medium?
