  1. Can you all just chill, are we not adults?
  2. No reason why not, just think about it and plan your spoking patterns.
  3. I was also thinking he could surprise us after watching his latest youtube interview.
  4. Also considering as my garmin device has just packed up. They offer free courier of the device so shouldn't be too expensive, about R6000 for a year with the device included.
  5. I think a lot of this is country specific, if you look at ebay in the us or uk the prices are much more reasonable.
  6. Hey man, don't beat yourself up, you gave it your best, another day will come!
  7. Spokes break, just replace and make sure the wheel is properly balanced and true.
  8. 4. Follow Tao, make no contribution and come second with some honour and not like a C@$%**(T.
  9. I would stick with a hardtail mtb, no reason why you can't swop between straight, drop and jones bars.
  10. I have a powertap hub and use zwift with either an android phone or tablet. Experienced lots of dropouts with ant+ to the point that I bought the smart cap for the hub which uses bluetooth, and that has never failed. The ant+ seems to work very well for garmins and pcs, not sure why the difference.
  11. I also have the garmin speed and cadence sensor and a wahoo tickr hr monitor and they all pair with the zwift app on bluetooth, have you tried first installing garmin connect and pairing them with device?
  12. Paid R80000 for a small solar panel setup end October 2018, 3 weeks ago the inverter malfunctioned with a code 09 error (soft bus start failure). Numerous calls to the company failed to get any response, they just said they would call me back. Eventually spoke to one of their technical guys yesterday, said I have to bring them the inverter (as far as I know any work I do on it invalidates the warranty) and then they would fix it, but I would have to pay for it unless it was a manufacturer fault (which it can't be because it worked for 11 months). No other options given, no apologies, no solutions...................
  13. Just a heads up, anyone thinking of using this company just be warned that their after sales service is non-existent and their warranty is not honored.
  14. Thanks for those two very interesting links, I notice that they both refer to one dy events, methinks the potential for damage would be much worse on an event like the munga.
  15. This has been a truly amazing post to follow, well done Carlo, redifining the word "vasbyt". I have a question and please don't take it as a criticism, but doesn't the extensive use of painkillers during an event like this bother you a bit. I'm not sure what the sports doctors would say, perhaps one of them on the forum could comment?
  16. "The other thing for me that makes Munga tend more towards unsupported that supported, is it's not a competition to see who can spend the most to get the best support crew. And I think this is a reason why Mike talking about the rules is very important. I don't think we want this race to go down this path, where a competitor who can afford to have someone else follow them in a car has an advantage over someone who can't." Well stated.
