Cycling Major Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Hello everyone So I have finally decided to let go of my deep section tubbies and go back to clinchers. The choice has been made and I am ready to place my order for some great looking carbon wheels. This is the problem I now have. With the wide range of choices available, I cannot seem to make up my mind as to what wheels will look the best with my bike (from China so its only about the looks). I have brought the selections down between the following wheels but now I need the input from my fellow hubbers. * FFWD (not sure if it will be too red) * Easton * Dura Ace C50 * Campy Bora Please note which you think will look the best... I have also added a photo of my bike. Thanks in advance
Edge_Design Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Anything without red - there's enough on your frame! Something like these Bora's --> https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/203552-new-2016-bianchi-specialissima-cv-57cm/ Out of the ones you listed, either the Bora's or Easton's.
Cycling Major Posted August 25, 2016 Author Posted August 25, 2016 I am in between the Dura-Ace and the Easton's if I had to pick straight out. I am just not sure how the all white and black of the Easton will look. Would love if I could put someone's on the bike, but not sure if that will happen

Probably great wheels though...
Veebee Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Too many colours going there. Keep the wheels simple, stealth look or something with very small decals.

Probably great wheels though... I do agree on the Dura-Ace decals... They look very amateur and thus I am thinking Easton... It also looks quite sleek and fast. Might be the best choice
LOOK695 Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Those are all chinese wheels. Don't buy fakes. Rather buy a set of wheels from a reputable vendor who does not sell fakes
s14phoenix Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 So you are only picking decals and not wheels as the different decals will go on the same China wheels? Why not just put the wording "CHINA" on them then.
plane^driver Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Seeing they from China as you mentioned in the opening post, keep them plain carbon either matt or gloss. If you really want stickers then come up with your own idea and get stickers made. To me less is more! I love my 55mm deep sections in matt carbon!

I have seen these wheels and they do look pretty awesome... From a design perspective its quite difficult to pick something out of a hat... Will definitely consider it though
