Flying out tonight

Current thoughts:

Sell it as is (if interested chat to me)

Take out of current lbs and take to another who specialize more in building bikes and hope for a better solution - currently nothing has Happened since mid dec!!

Let's see what Happens

I just picked up the bike - can't say I'm happy at all!!!

  • neither brakes are fitted or working
  • bike covered in dust, wheels look almost used but are brand new
  • both tyre flat
  • 2 scratches that weren't there when frame delivered
  • titanium bolts missing and lost
  • 55 days since new calipers delivered and nothing done (xmas in between)

So it is now in my office until I decide what to do with it.

Im thinking of taking it the original person I wanted to build it and wait until they are available - they were busy on Ara at the time.  I still really like the idea of the bike but Ive lost all passion for it!!!

OK The adaptor is ordered from Germany - paid far too much to get it here but hay, the joys of custom builds is the learning curve is steep!!! (I kinda expected the experts to advise me along the way but it didn't happen this time!!) Thanks for the advice on here - I should have listened to you first!!

This is what Ive ordered: http://i.imgur.com/JUsnE2F.jpg

Im also getting my mojo back for this build - the bike is sat in the office so I'm around it all day and its getting me slowly excited again and i can't wait to ride it!! I think the massive front ring is going to need to be replaced but will see.

And yes the bit of red on the seat rail is killing me!!

Good! Well done!  I am excited, so cant imagine how you must feel...

So are you putting 160mm rotors on to give more clearance for the spokes?

It looks like I was working on bad advice so i really think that the new adaptor will solve e very thing - no new rotors or McGyvers but lets see.

its in DHL's hands (Well customs actually)
