Hi ZXR

As mentioned by the other Hubbers already.

Both Wolftooth and Absoluteblack are 100% compatible with the Eagle 12 speed drivetrain.

Absoluteblack is in stock at R995 each and Wolftooth I can order for you with our next batch - ( arriving 18 October) at +/- R1195 a chainring depending on exchange rate at that time.

You can mail us on info@evobikes as well to place an order.

My 2c - I would keep the Cannondale Crankset and fit one of the 2 above.

absolute black chainrings are dead sexy looking #justsaying

Not for 2017 as far as I know

Next question :) I am running a short axle x9 stages crank on my spez epic - sram docs say this is not compatible with the Eagle ring - what options do I have so I can keep the stages.

Thanks in advance for your time.

That's the official part.

Unofficially you DONT need a eagle 12 spd ring.Almost all 11spd rings will work with the 12sod eagle.Just get yourself a bigger( I'm busy paying between 34/36 at the moment)

11spd chainring.

I will admit to wondering if the 3mm offset one would work, or if there was some technical reason why it would not work (or if it was just the offset)

Are these direct mount and are they 6mm offset or does the offset come with the cranks?

Interior width of all derailler type bicycle chains is 3/32" (2.38mm) so even a 8-speed chainring can theoretically drive a 12 speed chain if it could fit on your crank.. The offset is the bigger problem. You need to optimise the chainline to prevent excessive wear on the components.

Hi Naas

Do you have the Absoluteblack in 34 Oval?

Price and delivery?

I live in Port Elizabeth.

Go 36 Oval (my 2c)

Wow, I don't know if my little legs will handle that, I am running 34 round at the moment and on some of my rides I just about manage.

Well the range on a eagle cassette is so MASSIVE I don't think it would be a problem.

Thanks, something to consider, are the 36's readily available?

So using a 32t hollowgram crank is perfectly compatible with Sram eagle?

Or do you have to run a larger 34t spider front blade?

Did not try 32, but works fine with 34, see no reason why it can't work with 32.

So here are my first hand experiences. I have the S-Works crank, and that is not compatible with the Eagle chain ring. Fitted a 34 XX1 ring and it works perfectly.

I previously used 30 or 32 (on the 1x11 XX1) depending on event - and initially found the 34 too easy. Having just ridden 7 days at the coast, the 34 is the one. Doing 100+ meters of climbing every km, I'd never be able to push a 36.

Set the derailleur tension firmly - the tolerances are tight and I initially had some issues on fast descents. Once sorted the Eagle is awesome. I can now cruise at 50+ kms and climb at 17+%.
