PPA League

Maybe not, a little birdie says there is less than 20 riders registered for the elite league. And none of the league bunches bigger than 20 at the moment and cut off was today. Also no registration for league on the day. Maybe the R600 put too many people off...

Either going to be some unhappy campers come race day or the league will be caught by A.

Oh okay ????

The value experienced at WPCA League is also very apparent as I chat around

So, any competitor will have to match or eclipse that offering

Cool routes, cool entry fees, cool vibes

I'm told cut off is extended to Thursday 13th.

I would not rush out to enter an over priced event / relative to prize fund where all PPA is trying to do is boast there own event by "bending the racing cyclist over."

Wait maybe PPA will catch a wake up and offer start money for the racing cyclist. PPA road funirde need them the serious cyclist for credibility - this is what would happen in Europe. I realize this is wishful thinking. But at least the idea been said!

Most likely, the D rider will last 8 minutes when the Elite bunch zip off at 4 w/kg from the 1st minute

It's really eina

I here you, but like what about the peeps who raced cat2 and 3 in the winter league? should PPA not consider an open category for us mere mortals?

Update from a little birdy, about 28 riders in elite, 12 in masters, 6 in ladies, 21 subvets and 25 vets.

Wonder how big the gap between the starts will be?

Less place to hide for the wheelsuckers

Everybody is going to have to do their bit to stay ahead of the alphabet soup groups.

Lots of opportunities for dropped riders though to hang onto some soup groups to catch the league riders again (obviously not speaking from personal experience  )

They could start all the groups together, that would give them 60, will be just like riding in the A bunch :P

That's a good rising statistic

If this is correct - seems like the cyclist are speaking (with their wallets) as too whom they choose to support - 92 rider in total seems to me to be a very poor subscription to what it once use to be.

PPA should be seriously worried about this - I do feel for the new committee members, trying to change the (bad) ways of the old committee members and no doubt some staff.
