What are the main differences between the Tech 3 and Race Evo master cylinders? Which are the better (stronger) option? I have a set of Hope Race Evo levers (master cylinders) linked to a set of new E4 calipers. Was on the X2 calipers for a year now....decided to upgrade the X2 to E4 calipers. Is it worth upgrading to the Tech 3 levers? Also, what is the main benefit of braided hose vs the plastic ones?
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Tech 3 have bite point adjustment, contact adjustment and reach vs just reach for the race, afaik. Braided vs normal - it looks KIFF!!! And supposedly prevents hose deformation, which can give you a sharper response. Not too sure how accurate that it, though.

The original hope plastic hoses are in fact internally braided, the outers are plastic.

Will still think about the braided vs plastic hoses. Do agree the braided ones does look nice!

My brother has the braided with tech 3's and I have the normal hoses with Race Evo's and there is no difference in the braking feel... The braided looks awesome, I will agree with that. I may end up going braided in the future seeing as I need to replace a rear brake hose sometime I guess.. :-)
