Lefty experts - 26" lefty on a 29" frame

I read that one can use a 26" lefty on a 29" frame but that one needs to reduce the travel (prevent the 29" wheel bottoming out)

Are these kits readily available?

How much do they cost to buy and install?

If one is not an aggressive rider and uses the particular bike for mostly non-technical rides/races (it is a HT it will be used on) is it such an issue not to do the conversion?

I do understand the risk of bottoming out (broken teeth at best) but is it really such a risk in these circumstances?

You can try it like it is but if you want Omnico can fit the spacers to "convert it" to a 29er Lefty.

Also if you find its not working for you I know someone who would be interested in it

You will need to install spacers to limit where the fork bottoms out to prevent the bottom of the headtube hitting your tyre. A very easy fitting to do and the spacers are readily available.

I have seen guys trying it without spacers, some ugly falls on some big drop offs, but you can gamble and ride it as is.

If your name refers to your cahoonas then I suggest you fit the spacers and lose a little travel.
