To the OP:  Condolences to your loss but at the same time I am happy for you that you have such good memories to hold onto. Strongs and many happy miles of cycling with your dad (He will still join you on your rides in your memories).

Sorry to hear about your loss. It is really a great sport that can bring together genrations and people from all over. Hopefully you and your son will share the same experiences you did with your pops!
