Rear shock question

If I may hijack quickly.

How effective is the autosag feature on some of the fox equipped specialized bikes?

Reason for asking, it was setup at a specialized store for my bodyweight (as per autosag procedures) now when locked out it bobs. It's especially noticeable when I climb hard out of saddle as if I were to launch a attack.

Just some advise before I book a service which may be unnecessary.

Very effective at getting a ball park figure. You may need some volume spacers, depending on your weight though. And there would be bob when you attack, most certainly. Should be far less when locked out than when in open, but yeah.

64kg

Seems pretty solid in the seated position though.

It may have lost some air pressure. Get a shock pump and reset the pressure according to the autosag procedure. If this restores performance it is an air leakage issue. The increased bob under pedalling could also be due to wear and tear on internal seals in the damping system.

Either way it is overdue for a service.

Only other possibility is that you have put on a bunch of weight since buying it.....

The Autosag will give you a ballpark setup which will be good enough for the average rider. As for bob, how old is the shock, and what bike is it fitted to?

You're in for around R 1 000 ex shipping.

Didn't read the question or the thread, but the answer is obviously "vertical!"

It's on an Anthem, so you're on the money.
