2017 Bay City Cycle Tour

This lovely  little race, originally scheduled for the 22/01/2017 has been cancelled. PPA is now trying to arrange an alternative event at Killarney or elsewhere.

 

Good news is that the Journey for Sight on 19/02/2017 is still going ahead. So there is at least one race in the South this year that can be used as preparation for the World Funride Champs.

I got the impression that while many of the traditional southern suburbs rides have retained their names, the venues were likely to change.

Not sure why PPA teased us with this race and then failed to deliver yet again

From a event that i figured would have some nice climbs in to maybe another killarney crit, not cool ppa

Think it has to do with permission from Council / Traffic Dept that was not forthcoming.

Me too, that's why I was all psyched up for these two races.

the last email from the PPA which was in Nov/Dec confirms the date but the route / venue as Milnerton (TBC) for both the Bay City and the Journey for Sight. i assume that it will be Killarney and the route will be the one that the WCE used or very similar.
