Attention Ladies

I was just wondering how many women ride women specific bikes? Does it make a huge difference? What women specific bike is best to buy? Are there ladies out there that have imported a bike bacause they have not found what they are looking for here or are we on par with the rest of the world?RaceChick2008-05-16 03:48:06

RaceChick...non of our racing ladies I know ride WSD. As long as you find a bike that fits you there's no problem.

In general we just need smaller bikes and shorter stems....my biggest problem is the top bar distance...have a short stumpy bodyWink

I'm left-handed, and got a LHSB - they come as standard in Europe as they drive on the opposite side of the road (apart from GB who drive on the left).

At least that's what the salesman said....

...and it was only another R5k.

With womens Specific bikes its only the Top Tube that is smaller than a nornal bike. it just makes for a more comfortable ride.

If you see a girl on a normal bike their stems is short wich means less control over the bike. than using a longer stem.

I have been cycling for many years and changed to a WSD two years ago as I couldn't find a bike size that fitted me correctly.  A men's small was at least 10 cm too long for me. Best change I ever made.

There is definitely a market for WSD and it is not merely hype.
