Good morning all, my Scott Team Issue cycling shoe's fastener cable snapped this morning. Can it be fixed, what do I need to do? Do I take it to the local Scott dealer?

Depending on which side you can fix it .

If on the anchor side: Take it off the is a little hole the cable goes through and then you just tie a knot to anchor it.

If its on the ratchet side you'll have to buy A new one

Thanks, luckily it isn't the ratchet part, it's the one side where the "cable" goes in, but there is a 1.5mm hex spanner necessary to take it off and the smallest I've got is a 2mm. Guess the hardware store is my next option tomorrow morning. [emoji20] I need it fixed by tomorrow afternoon, standby-week ending tomorrow and planning a week full of afternoon cycling and then come Saturday we want to do a longer ride.

I am not sure where you live(on tappatalk at the moment so it doesn't tell me) but my spez shoes also have the boa system and they come with the little screw driver needed. Not sure if I am able to help you out or not.

Edit. Went into your profile. Your from cpt. Sorry can't help then. LBS might have the boa tool needed?

Cpt, no please [emoji33] Groot Brak Rivier, home of the Attakwas finish. I heard that the Spez shoes has got the same system, if I can't fix it myself tomorrow I'll take it to local Spez shop in George.

Managed to borrow the correct tool for the job from a friend today, unscrew the turning knob, attached the part that broke with a tiny little "knoop" and it worked 100% during tonight's 40.1km ride. Very chuffed that I managed to fix it myself. I like to try everything myself before handing it over to the "know how's".
