Let him 'deposit' the money and tell him he can collect, then send him to some fake address in the bundu's where he'll have to drive a few hours to get there, and make sure it's during peak traffic hours that he has to 'collect', make sure it not a real residential address too, don't want anybody to get hurt.

I do this to scammers all the time... feels good. Oh, and when they call and say they're outside, just cut the call and block the number.

Unfortunately this motherf**ker caught me hook line and sinker.

Made a "deposit" into my account from GODFREY/NEDBANK/20170118, from a company called Crocco Panelbeaters.

Desktop PC. He said he wanted it for his "children". What made me fall for it is he asked for the specs and asked all kinds of questions about the graphics card and CPU.

Shi t man that sucks. If it makes you feel any better, I once got conned out of 16k booking a fake holiday on Junkmail.

Since then I don't trust anyone anymore. If they want something they can collect it and pay me face to face.

The ID looks fake.

What happenned?

ID definitely fake - see name and surname fonts and font size.

We see this sh!t in financial services EVERY DAY, so it's clearly evident to me.

The only time I enjoy seeing someone suffering is during a race    .

I sympathize with you Cav'. We just have to be more vigilant.

In hindsight, I should've looked closer. When the surname didn't match the facial appearance (he looks more Indian or perhaps Coloured than African), the alarms should've sounded.

Dude, it happens to EVERYONE. Credit providers have fraud depts and teams of people checking and verifying ID in multiple ways AND WE STILL GET TAKEN FOR A RIDE every day.

Sorry for what happened to you, it's just plain k@K.
