Have we seriously become this entitled that every time CWC posts a sale (which honestly they don't have to) we just assume that we can request whatever we want? Do you go on Takealot's page and ask for a discount on a vacuum cleaner because it's almost your birthday?

You know, maybe actually speaking to them would have netted you a discount:

Takealot has never posted a sale on this forum asking us what we want on sale.

I understand your points but Cwcycles has set a precedent with their sales in the past so everyone assumes they can ask for what they want on their sales threads.

No, they have "Ask what you want for payday/Black Friday/Christmas/Easter/Whatever" sales. That doesn't mean that EVERY sale is open to requests.

Have to agree with you.  They had me as a serious buyer and now I have moved on.

i believe what I did with the "padkos" (we wont mention the company name)  is a good example of what we should be doing with all bicycle related purchases...buying in quantity gets a company interested in a query

another example is the bicycle stands...who would have ever thought so many people would suddenly want to buy bicycle stands...that we had to start a separate whatsapp group...the price is right people pay attention and sometimes spend money they wouldnt normally on a item.

This forum is the cheapest and most effective way for CWC to "see" straight through its marketing / PR / advertising etc. to its customer base and accurately ascertain what THEIR CUSTOMERS WANT.

The interaction, requests, feedback and so on are invaluable to a retailer, particularly an online one.

Most B2C businesses would give their front teeth for this type of customer INFORMATION, which is the single most valuable commodity for online business (you pay google a ####-load of money for this type of info).

Basically, it's a WIN-WIN.
