I'm currently on a 1x10 setup using a Deore RD-M615-SGS and a CS-HG500 11-42T cassette. The quality of the Shimano cassette is not near the Sunrace MX-3 I had before so when it comes time to replace it I will go back to Sunrace.

The question I have is will my RD work with the 11-46T Sunrace or should I stick to 11-42T ?

It works fine. I added the rapide derrailleur goatlink as i didnt know adding a longer b-tension screw would be an option. Running 34 rapide oval and 11-46 10spd sunrace cassette with my old xt deore derrailleur. Im having to replace the derrailleur because i noticed the cage has metal fatigue where i bent it a couple of times after it lost its shape. So this replacement is not due to the upgrade.

So far it feels pretty good. Certainly enjoying the 34 oval.

I am running 11 speed 11-50 with a 36 up front. It works for a heavyweight, however the gear spacing is still K@k. The problem is with the spacing of the rations on the lower end 11,13,15. When you are trying to stick on a wheel the gaps are just too big. You go from just too heave to spinning out.

Want to change to get to something like a 9,10,12,14 .... 46 then a 34 up front will be perfect.
