My scalpel si3 2018 back to Omnico for the 3rd time and in and out of bike shops(Cannodale agents) 12 times.

Never a Cannondale again.

Whats been the issue with it?

I would suspect that the dual lockout lever has been a source of frustration?

Simple fix really. I see many Scalpels sporting two single hydraulic poplocs...

Not much can be problematic unless it gets a bit creaky which again is easily solved

I know a rider who has had a few issues with his late model Scalpel. Broken Cannondale in house crank system while out on a ride and some kind of frame issue. No brand is without some flaws but I'd sway towards the brand that uses higher end componments big name parts were it counts eg cranks and suspension. Ease of service and cost down the line is important.

Thanks for that, big help in making my decision!! I agree with the front wheel, i think it may drive me mad.

Lefty is an awesome fork no question but I sold myne because the removal of the front wheel made me nuts. Now on a Fox Factory Kashima (not step cast) and it is as good if not better when pushed on technical trails. The step cast though is little spaghetti like.

Thanks okes, some good info there. Its always the little things that make you love your bike or not and its unfortunately those finer details that you never know until you have made the purchase.

What did you eventually settle on? I'm in the same position now with the 2019 Models. Have test ridden the Cannondale but not the Scott.
