When I was at Maties my road and mtb were only used for training rides. Got myself a R2k SS for classes and around town use. The rate at which bikes are stolen in that towm you simply cannot leave your bike anywhere unattended. Most locks (incl U locks) can be cut in under 30 seconds by someone that knows what they are doing.

I was just thinking, I never take a photo of my bike in its place at work.

Sorry for the loss bud, BUT when you get a replacement VIAS, PLEASE PLEASE don't show it off at the gym like that. Rather run to gym or buy a cheap bike. And if you are able to own a bike like that you are able to afford a cheap N+1.

I know a lot of the comments here are harsh but its unfortunately reality. I also ride to gym, I also have a lekker road bike(maybe not as lekker as yours but its lekker to me) but I ride my old 26inch commuter to gym. People would probably rather donate something to me that steal it.
