where can I get a helicoil done in ct?

need a helicoil done on a crank

was told to get a helicoil to fix it,guy didn't tell where tho

anyone know a good place to do it in ct?

the drive side pedal insert for the crank arm fell out needs to be re threaded

Try Swift Threads in Milnerton.

You'd have to check their tapping costs.

More than likely it could end up costing you as much if not more than a used crankset so...

 

I'd try my luck searching for a crank arm first. Put out a wanted ad.

You'd be surprised how lucky one can get

 

Then if that's a bust.

Give it a go with a thread file first. Make sure you have the right sizing.

Again. You might get lucky.

 

If helicoil really was my last option. I'd toss the cranks and get others.

But that's just me.

ya i guess new one would be better,its a drive side truvativ hussefelt,

shouldn't be hard to track one down...

If there is enough "meat" on the crank get a "vasbyt". You don't need whole kit to fit and they're as strong as ****. Drill out and retap. Only issue would be if they make that thread especially if it's left hand.
