Any thoughts on Titanium Time Trial frames?

Reduced fatigue would be an advantage due to the comfort of a Ti frame especially in the longer triathlons such as Ironman would certainly make sense.

I see the guys at Calculus Bikes have been quite busy getting the Ultimate Titanium bike made. Each frame is made to custom fit size for the individual rider, ensuring the most comfortable and efficient ride. Well done to the local boys from Hermanus!!

The bike looks FIRE

That bike looks tight. Very sexy.

Coming from a Triathlon background I know the importance of being comfortable on your bike. You need to become one with your machine and custom frames are definitely the future of cycling.

Just a pity that the average ride can't afford a custom frame though.

When having a custom Titanium frame built in Europe, your bill will run up to 4500-5500 Euro (which roughly amounts to R75 000 - R92 000). Calculus Bikes offers something similar for R35 000. This is still a lot of money, but definitely value for money I'd say?

I own the ultimate titanium shoulder.

Probably makes sense to get a bike to match?

Do you prefer road or mountain to match your shoulder, or maybe cyclocross then you can carry it on your shoulder?

I've broken a fair share of carbon frames, replacing them have worked out quite expensive.

Considering that titanium is near unbreakable I don't consider R35k to be exorbitant.

Had the privilege to take one of these out for a spin.

The workmanship is amazing. Welding is meticulous and attention to detail is evident in design.

I am no expert in bike design. All I can say, this just works. Handling is playful and precise. The specific setup made it nippy in tight situations and with the selection of tires/shock setup it stuck like glue to anything that came it's way. It clime'd like a mountain goat and went like a rocket on the descents. Just loved it!

Truly excited to see custom bike designing  developing at this pace.
