  1. I am 1.92 and ride the XL (58cm) switch, thing has taken me loads of places. Very capable bike
  2. The only real stretch on Tar is Chapmans peak drive up to ou wapad. And its not the worst stretch of tar in the world. Ideally you can find some way to go off road again from Noordhoek to Ou Wapad, without having to resort to the single-track that is already there next to the road. The rest are only short tar connections and the Promenade, which would make a stunning last 3km, so think its less than 30% tar all in. Also you have Hamilton's sports fields right there to use as the race village. That last section on Signal hill will be hard, going down Pat's Track after 3200m of climbing isn't a recovery ride, even for Mr. Beers What's the alternative? 5 loops of the Epic Prologue? No thanks.
  3. Already plotted a route for them: https://www.strava.com/routes/3122279095874678204 Can have a Waterpoint in Hout Bay, Tokai and Dead Man's Tree
  4. This one is going to be epic. A Proper Gravel route
  5. Read earlier someone got charged R400 for a sub at the EXPO, rocked up and told them If they could show me anywhere on website or on any other communication that it said R400 and not R200 for the substitution I would be willing to pay it, but without that how am I to know its not R4000.... Lady had nothing to respond with and just charged me R200. Hopefully they now charging everyone that.
  6. Yeah its all about who you deal with at the Expo
  7. In previous years I have had friends re-seed at registration by showing Strava rides (They will look at distance and average speed of the activity).
  8. And the absolute See you next Tuesday of a driver in a Range Rover swearing and speeding past at 90km/h up Houghton cause he was asked to slow down going past an accident zone...
  9. Hate to break it to you, but the banter boys couldn't even muster a top 10 finish
  10. So which one are you, the one that called them hipsters or the one that called them woke gravel bois?
  11. The dodgiest sections was between WP1 and WP2 where the cross-headwind was forcing teams across the entire road. There were instances where 1 peloton was passing another peloton with a car in both lanes. That's a disaster waiting to happen
