Rear shock upgrade

Hi Guys. I am a total newbie, just bought a 2016 Specialized Camber carbon. Fronts had been replaced with the Fusion Trace. I want to upgrade the rear as well. Tested a Santa Cruz Nomad prior to buying this and it felt sweet compared to the Camber. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

First of all you'll have to get shock shaft that can fit the FSR linkage or buy an after market yoke.

So depending on your budget the standard shock may have to do for A while , what shock did it come with ?

You've got a few options here.

One - find a Spez-flavoured shock that's not a CTD EVO - you can get Monarch and Float DPS that'll fit, but they're special order and can take a while to get here.

Two - get a Float DPS Performance and swap the existing damper body over so it'll fit. You'll then be left with a Float EVO of a standard size that you can sell.

Three - get a Bikeyoke form bikeyoke.com and fit a standard shock of whatever flavour you like.

If you need any more info, you can contact me via the link at the bottom of this post.

Option two is probs your best bet :)

firstly, do yourself a favour and get it set up correctly. That should be first on your list.

If it's correctly set up, and you still don't like it, refer to Droo's post.

I would have suggested that too, but it's an EVO. Which is a bit of a dog.

That said, a setup should improve things, so if you're in CT pop in and I'll have a look at it for you.
