Plett Holiday - Which bikes to take

Kev Evans' shop has group rides on most Tuesday and Thursday mornings (if I remember correctly) and they usually head out to the Tsitsikamma tollbooth from the Pick n Pay centre. It's about a 70k ride, so a road bike is definitely a good call.

HT would also be good for Harkerville if the routes are fully opened by then.

Only the HT unless you are scared of getting dropped by the missus take your roadie with.

I'd take the HT and the Gravel

Bike. Lots of good gravel rides out that way. You,ve mentioned 7 passes, there is also the Prins Alfred pass and you can make a day of it, drive to George and do Montagu Pass. I'd stay off the N2 during Christmas if it was me, and if I absolutely have to do a long road ride, it will be on the gravel bike.

Well that was always in the back of my mind. The gravel bike allows me to get out of the high traffic areas, and still go reasonably fast.

I think I need to go do a club ride on the gravel machine and see how it goes. Perhaps it's rather the gravel bike than the roadie that goes along...
